Initial Support

We remain extremely grateful to a number of companies, organisations and individuals who supported LPCT during our infancy. Such financial and in-kind support allowed us to develop a range of programmes across each of our three strands, being sport, health and education, whilst also retaining our ethos of being fun, affordable, accessible...and unique!

GlaxoSmithKline donated £10,000 which allowed us to cover the necessary fees in becoming a company limited by guarantee with charitable status.

Montrose Events, who put on a number of fantastic events in the town, including the Christmas Extravaganza and music concerts, donated their last £5,000 to Links Park Community Trust, and this allowed us to purchase equipment and resources that were necessary for the development of our sports and educational programmes.

Montrose Area Furniture Recycling & Distribution (MAFRAD), on winding down, pledged £5,000 of their remaining funds towards our cause and this provided valuable core funding which secured staffing during the development of our income generating initiatives.

Ann Thomson and Iris Mair, two very proactive local fundraisers, and their fantastic assistants, provided two coffee mornings within the space of 12 months for LPCT. The events, which took place at the Old Church Hall, raised over £1,400, all of which was invested in the development of our flagship educational programmes.
